Sights of Hankavan, Armenia

Hankavan is a small gully, rich with thick forests, rare bushes and plants, flowery meadows, fresh and mineral springs, as well as healing hot water and therapeutic mud. Hankavan is a real dream for tourists, hikers and those who seek a perfect place to rest away from the bustle of the city.

The nature has lavished heavenly sights and nature monuments on the territory: the waterfall of Hankavan, Pambak mountains from South and Tsaghkunyats mountain ranges from North-East; the river Marmarik(37km) flowing through Hankavan and near the rest house “Anush”, a real medicine to your overstrained nerves.

Other important sights in Hankavan are the Greek church built in 19th century, which can be considered as one of the symbols of Hankavan; and the necropolis located next to the village. Hankavan is also full of water reserves, e.g.

Marmarik reservoir with mirror-like clean water. We can talk about the sights and nature monuments in Hankavan endlessly, but you have better just visit Armenia and see this cosy corner, make sure of its beauty and enjoy it.
